Mexican American Night

We enjoyed some American & Mexican food one night. It was fun to have sloppy joes, rootbeer, chips & dip. I liked the chip above because it looks like a sail boat or a hat.

Organising

Carly was nice and organised the games,

I organised the coffee table,

And Macy swept. Now at least our living room doesn't look like a blitz!

boring winter, cold,........ SNOW!!!

We finally had a enough snow to build a snowman at the park with Big Mike. Macy had a fun time making snow-angles. It was a big hit!!!

Books

Does any one have an idea for books I could download onto our kindle or get online?

I've liked:

-Harry Potter
-Fable Haven
-The Doll People
-Charlotte's Web
-everything by Roald Dahl and Beverly Cleary
-Tuck Everlasting
-Tuesdays at the Castle

and lots of other books. Have you read these books? Fable Haven is probably more for 8+ and Tuck Everlasting, too. Otherwise they're good for all ages.

Here are some of my fav. book pics. :

Apple Crisp

We had 4 apples left from friends and we were wondering what to do with it. So................
We made apple crisp. It was very yummy and we had it with whipping cream. Delicious!!!

Here is the recipe:

  • 4  medium tart cooking apples, sliced
  • 3/4  cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2  cup  all-purpose flour
  • 1/2  cup oats
  • 1/3  cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 3/4  teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4  teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Cream or Ice cream, if desired

serves ca. our Family + Big Mike ( 6 servings)

P.S. I got the pic from the internet. The apple crisp disappeared to fast to take a picture.

Since we didn't have nutmeg we left it out but I bet it would be good with it too.
