Surprise!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Have a great day!

Your daughter,

Robyn

The Grey Tooth

OK, it all started with the talk at dinner last night.

Me: Macy, why do you have a grey tooth?

Dad: Remember when she ran into the cage with pillows?

(we were shopping at a not-so-good furniture store when it happened)

Me: Oh it's extra funny that you ran into a cage of PILLOWS.
Hmmmmmm............................

It would be extra fun to cannonball into it.

Macy: And we could sleep there allllllllllll night.

Dad: I don't think the workers would like that.

Carly: And we could get a board, and then nail it to the cage of pillows!

Dad: I don't think they would like that either.

Mr. Robot: END OF THE CONVERSATION........THINKING...OK NICE IDEAS FOR BUILDING....

Hoppla!

It all started like this. We were reading this book that I had bought at a Flea Market in my school library. It is called Hoppla. (oops in English)

Here are a couple of my favorite parts.

"And don't slam the door. The chimney is broken." said his mother."OK", replied Paul. BOOM! "Oops!"

Mr. Wolf decided to play some tricks on Paul. Bad Wolf trick #1: The old slip on a banana peal.
"This is a dumm place to put a banana peal. Someone might slip on it!"

Bad Wolf trick #2 : Dig a nice big hole for him. "Oh! A butterfly!" (steps on Mr. Wolf's head)

Bad Wolf trick #3 : If nothing else works, hit him on the head with a big bat. ( Paul ducks) "A nice little flower, how cute!"

What I thought was funny as at the end instead of They Lived Happily Ever After, it says And If He's Not Dead, He's Still Alive Today. :)

Germany

I am so lazy. Well, not really. I just haven't had the time so I apologize.

Germany. That is a BIG word. I mean it's like OK, we are moving. So and so. Not really a real thought until you get there for a while because at first it is only like vacation for a long time. Especially that we see them more often then we would have through video chat. But now it is turning into reality. I mean now I am going to German school, having a bunch of hours, many teachers, subjects, books, folders, and notebooks. I am also not used to not having a recess. Everyday we have a break for 20 min. But there is no playground. What I think is fun though is they have these poles sticking out of the ground and we try to jump over them. I can also hang out and talk to my friends. But 20 min. really is not that long if you start at 7 : 45 and end at 4:15

These are all my classes and teachers. Some of them have fun names.

* Englisch Frau Zander
*Mathematik Herr Becker
*Erdkunde (Geographie) Frau Schmidt
*Latein Frau Hwang
*Biologie Frau Kommert
*Natrophenomene (Science) Frau Zander or Frau Palli
*Deutsch Frau Sidler
* Religion Herr Puhl
*Musik Frau Matheus
*Bildende Kunst Frau Gingeleit
*Sport Frau Sidler

My computer does not like any of it except for Religion, Sport, Frau, and Herr. I like Frau name.

I can ride my bike to school on a bike path. If I want to go more relaxing it takes me about 15 min. Medium is about 10 min. And "schnell" (fast) is 6 min.

Here they have really good chocolate. Some people at church give us chocolate but we can never eat it all because it is so rich and we have so much. Someone also gave us gourmet gummies. They are really good and taste like strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.

Life is good. Are kitchen arrived yesterday so we have a fridge and a freezer plugged in. Yeah! The rest is here we just have to put it together. We will probably put it in on Saturday. To bad it is supposed to be 25 degrees Celsius.

We have a very nice ward. A man from Brazil came here for work for three months and is from the same mission that my dad taught in. WOW! Especially since there are 30 something missions in Brazil. There is also a man from Columbia that my mom and the missionaries have been helping. It is fun that my mom and him can speak Spanish and my dad and the guy from Brazil can speak Portuguese. Except the hard part is that now they are both trying to learn German it is a LOT harder. I believe them.

In the front the picture I posted was of the "Schloss". That is a German castle that used to be across the street from us. There was a big show called : "The Arena Of Pop". There where a lot of different singers. There was also Ricky Martin but my mom said that he was a disappointment and the other singers where better. ( The Arena of Pop went until 10:00 at night and we were still jet lag. It was the Saturday after we flew in and I think we flew in on Thursday. I will show a video in another post.)

The "Eis" here is REALLY good. Here are some of the flavors I have tried.

*Raspberry
*Strawberry
*Pistachio
*Apricot Lavender
*Black Forest
***Lemon
*Cinnamon
*Melon
*Chocolate
*Straticella
*Himberre

I am sad, but glad that we are here.

New York

Here is a slide show that I made in Picasa

We got to see the Ayalas and their kids. I thought it was cool that they had their church on top of the library. Sister Ayala made some really good smoothies, cupcakes, and lemonade. Together we went to a park, they bay, and Teddy Roosevelt's Summer home.

At his Summer Home he had a lot of animals that he, his sons, or a friend shot. He had a polar bear, antelope, deer, bear, and a big horned sheep. It was fun to see some horses and do some crafts.

We also got to walk downtown and see Central Park. There were many people from different countries and there were many different languages. In toysRus there was a big Ferris Wheel with Monopoly, Mr. and Mrs. Potato head, and the Fisher Price red and white little car. Carly got to take her picture with a giraffe. (I think that they wanted you to buy the picture.) It was fun to see it.

Staten Island Ferry

We rode on the Staten Island Ferry to go to Staten Island Ferry New York. It was fun to see all the boats, water skiers and the Statue of Liberty. (they will be shown in the following post). This ferry had many floors and decks. It also had a loud speaker so wee could here the captain.

Here is the front view.

Here I am on the ferry. It was a nice smooth ride. In this picture I am just really tired.

DC Duck Boat

This is the DC Duck Boat that we got to ride on. It was cool.

Here is a statue that reminded me of a Griffin in Harry Potter.

I don't remember what this building is but I got it and it had the American Flag in it.

I saw this really fun archway. I like the old fashioned light.

Here is an eagle on the top of the building. I couldn't get the flag in too. :(

This airplane was flying overhead and I was lucky to catch it. They were REALLY loud.

This train was going over the "lake" right before we passed under it.

These colored windows were fun to see and they reflected in the sun light. I am glad that my camera could catch the sun light reflecting.

It was fun to see the Department of the Treasury. (Bureau of Engraving and Printing). That is where all the money is made.

This building is fun and someone wanted to keep the ghosts out. That person believed that ghost lurked in corners.

And of course we stopped to see The White House. It was pretty and I was glad that I could see us.

The DC Zoo and the Fountains

Here is my Mom and Uncle Mike at the zoo in DC.

In this picture there is Carly, Mike, Macy and me sitting on a bar at the DC zoo. It was a huge place. We got to see the snakes, elephants, pandas, lions, turtles, apes, and a hole kiwi show. What? No, of course I am not talking about the fruit! A kiwi is a bird with a long beak with it's nose on the end. It uses it to find bugs and worms in the ground. The also come from New Zealand and is very rare to find in zoos. I was glad we got to see it.

What was nice is that we got to see our friends that used to live in UT with us a couple years ago.

Since we had a picture with the Moms we had to have one with the Dads too. The boys were out numbered even if we counted the Dads and not the Moms.

Here is Sophia and Macy posing for the picture with their water bottles.

We also go to see some pretty fountains while Dad got the rental car. It was nice to cool of in and it was also in the shade.

Macy relaxing in the nice shade. (I am just surprised that she would lie on the cement).

The Huge Escalator

When we where in DC we decided to go to the zoo. (It will be the next post). When you got from the subway to go up to the ground we got to go on this huge escalator. It was a cool ride.
Here is the truth. We didn't stretch the escalator or do anything on photo shop. I promise.

The Sights

I thought that it was fun to go and see the White House. Carly and Macy liked to see how many bars they could reach to and watch the squirrels. I think that they will appreciate it more when they are a little bit older.

We also went to my Uncle Mike's work the red cross. We got to meet all of the people that work with him and his boss was nice and gave us White House M&Ms. Another lady also was nice and gave us no more itch cream since we had some mosquito bites. I like to pronounce mosquito bites missqueeto. They also love to get me! Ah!!!

We also got to see the UT memorial and sit by the fountains. In the back is the Washington memorial.

Here is the Washington memorial. I got to go up and touch it. We liked the shade it made since we were walking a lot in the sun.

We went to a dance festival representing some country in South America. (i don't remember) Here are some drums that Carly and I got to play and then there is a video.

Here is my Dad in DC with this Sparkle Banner. I thought it was fun since my Grandpa has a cleaning company called Sparkle.

South of the Boarder

They were very many billboards advertising this event. We all wondered why it was so big. It was just south of North Carolina (i think). It had funny characters and a big Mexican hat on a pole right outside.

I wonder why they would be so big about Mexico in North Carolina.

Hmmmm.......

Kingsland, Georgia and Alabama (more good vacation spots)

We went to Alabama. Macy had been dying to go since she was like 3 and we had never talked about Alabama in our house. No one we know live there. But Macy finally got to go! We got to see a giant peanut with a bird perched on it in front of the Alabama Welcome Center.

When we went to Georgia, we got to see my Mom's Uncle Chuck and Aunt Rosemary. They had a bunch of dogs because some were theirs and some were someones that they were watching. They fed us a bunch of good food.

Between Alabama and Georgia we saw a church that look like a really old castle. We also got to see a road called Peeples.

Next we went to Kingsland, Georgia. That is where my some of my cousins are. We loved getting to feed the chickens, turkeys, and their goose. We also got to bottle-feed their baby goats and milk the mamas. When we first got there, there was a frog sitting right on the window!

On one of the days we went to the beach. There were huge piles of shells everywhere and they were hard to avoid. I felt kind-of bad crunching on all of those shells. The tide pools were warm and they were nice to relax in since they were shallow. When we were there we also got to buggy board in the water. I would wait for a nice big one and then cruise to the shore. The only thing we were sad about is that we didn't get to see the alligators since there were too many fires in that area.

Paradise! (Panama City Beach, FL)

Panama City Beach, FL was definitely a place for a vacation. 1. It had white soft sand that tickles your toes. 2. You could just relax on the sand in peace. 3 It was not a really loud beach. 4 It was a good place for shell hunting. 5 We could just enjoy time with family. It WAS the prefect vacation spot.

We also got to see my Aunt Ronya, Uncle Craig, Ben, Julian, and Samantha. Also, we made nice and chewy chocolate chip cookies. They were delicious. Frozen yogurt was extra good because you could make your own and add toppings. I chose Blood Orange, Strawberry, and Plain. And of course I added fruit on the top.

The sunsets and the palm trees were very pretty.

So now, go and enjoy Paradise!

Tennessee

After flying to Illinois we rented another car to go to Tennessee. (My Dad drove the rental car back to UT and then met us in the Chicago Air Port.) In Tennessee we went to the Discovery Zone, swam, went to a splash pad, and we also went to the Catfish house for dinner one night.
It was nice. We also enjoyed swinging on their porch swings.

Mark's Graduation Party (Chicago)

On Saturday we drove in the sparkle van and a car from Gram's house to get to Mark's Party.

It was super fun! We played P-I-G, H-O-R-S-E, S-H-E-E-P, and S-E-A. Carly made the sea one up. We also got to play bags, swing in the hammock, and of course eat good food. (They Always have that at big family parties.) Wall-Ball and football were also played.

My dad made a hat card for Mark and Carly made a scroll.

Camp Grammy at the Thim's River

Camp Grammy at the Thim's River was a big hit.(as usual) We got to ride home in Grampa's big Sparkle van. During that week we went swimming, played with Avery and Maren, had Reese's Pieces in ice cream sandwiches, went to church, went to The Sparkle Works Factory, made cute hair bows, and went to Marks Graduation.(that will be a separate post). And we also got to see Tom, Sue, Em, Tom, T, and Baby Mike.

Oh! And don't forget the juke box and the annual dance!

Montana

After ID, WA, and OR, we went to Montana to spend time with my mom's cousin Lucy and her family. While we were there we enjoyed their swing, bouncy horses, good food, toasted marshmallows, good food and of course the excavator. We also tried to go on a safari drive. I went with Andrew and my Dad and the rest went in their van. Sadly, we only saw a squirrel. No sign of a bear or even a deer. But of course we had fun!

Now have fun!

The BIG Slide (in Washington)

As I was telling you, there was a super tall slide at a park in Washington. It was about 12 feet tall and 2 feet wide. It really gave you a work out when you climbed up all those stairs but it was worth it to go down. Sometimes you would slide 2 feet to the grass after you went down. It was probably the best slide I went down.

Washington

In Washington we got to see Shalyn and John. We got to go to a park that had a huge slide. We loved it. It seems like the older parks are more fun then the modern parks. They also have a dog named Poncho that is in most of the pictures.

We also got to see my Great Uncle Roger. He likes to garden and has the pretty flowers in his yard.

Oregon

I thought it was fun to go to Oregon because my Grammy and Granddad used to live there. I love how Oregon has so much fruit. Apples, pears, peaches, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and grapes. I am so glad we got to go.

We got to swim, play bocce ball, go to the park, hang out, and have a bar-B-cue. It was also nice we got to see Jill, Marley, Obey, Zed, Brian, & Erica.

Have fun!!!

Idaho

I especially like the bunny pictures. It was cool how many, many animals we saw on our trip. It was nice that we could spend time with some of our family and friends.

We got to sleep in a tent, hold bunnies, swing, ride bikes, eat good food,(like gourmet pizza), and jump on the trampoline.

So now sit back and enjoy!

The Callaways

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the Callaways' house. We stayed at their house for 3 days before we went on our big road trip. Aunt Audrey met us at their house. (She lives in Oregon). I am excited because Aunt Apryl had another baby. Her name is Lucy

Taylia

This is me with Aunt Blythe, Carly, Macy, and my cousin Sara.

This is our new cousin. Her name is Taylia. I just love these pictures of us with her. She was so fun. I wonder why she keeps her mouth open when she sleeps though.

Our Going Away Party

This picture I thought was funny of the kids because James is sticking his hand in his mouth, Hazel is patting Ruby's head, Adam is screaming, and Ruby has a funny expression.

(Naomi, Robyn, Lynzee)

Here are my friends. Naomi is farther away from my house, but Lynzee has been my next door neighbor for about 7 years. Lynzee is a year older than me. So is Naomi. It was sad to leave, but thank goodness for email and other technology.
